The tech giant advocates for collaborative advancement in business artificial intelligence

At the technology summit, IBM's Cox presented a persuasive case for transparent advancement in business machine learning. Cox, Vice President of machine learning frameworks and director at the collaborative research center, emphasized the significance of transparency in innovation, particularly in the current AI landscape.
Cox highlighted the complex character of transparency in artificial intelligence, questioning the simplistic perception of the idea. He noted the expanding ecosystem of open models from various sources, including tech giants, universities, and nation-states.
However, he articulated reservations about the standard of transparency in numerous Large Language Models, noting that some deliver scarcely more than a set of numerical values lacking transparency in their production methods.
